Regarding the BBC’s 2020 Russell Prize. The Bertrand Russell Society is in no way affiliated with the BBC’s prize. Additionally, the members of the Bertrand Russell Society are opposed to doctrines of hate, division, and exclusion. Our creed is that of Bertrand Russell himself: it is one of love not just for the pursuit of knowledge, but for all humanity. It is a creed of universal love, peace, unity, and inclusion.

The Bertrand Russell Society does have its own awards, but none of these are the same as the BBC’s Russell Prize for writing. Please stop emailing us about the BBC’s award over which we have no control or association. You might redirect your emails about the BBC’s award to the relevant parties (e.g. to the BBC itself or to the person who makes the award).
